Meet ShadowVox
Aaron David Herman
Lead
There’s an old fable that tells of a child, docile and fair complected, collecting rocks on a beach. While rejoicing over God’s creativity in stone formation, he was struck in the throat by an angel of the Lord. The result was a beat-boxing, stage-prancing, veggie-scarfing, vocal force of nature known to mankind as Aaron David Herman. As a husband to a remarkable woman and father to seven children, Aaron desires to demonstrate a passionate pursuit of God and of the dreams planted in his heart.
Chad Bahr
Baritone and Lead
Arriving via birth canal on an early morning in June, Chad debuted his singing voice with a sustained falsetto note that would make you cry. Weep, even. After years of Wayburn Dean, Matthew Ward, Michael McDonald and Michael English pouring into his ear holes, he has become the vocalist you hear today. Although, without Jesus, his spectacular wife and kids, friends and family, Chad would be homeless in West Concord, MN – eating moldy bologna and humming to himself while he tries to lick his own ear.
Ben Dixon
1st Tenor and Lead
Mr. and Mrs. Dixon couldn’t be more proud of their son. Whereas their hopes and dreams were pinned on his curly blonde locks and attention to detail when folding laundry, the fact that he can sing his face off was just gravy on a lovely glob of mashed taters. Ben’s vocal abilities can be linked to a steady diet of DC Talk, Rockapella, Eric Benet, Kurt Elling and One Republic. A devoted husband and father of three, Ben brings a level of uncompromised passion to ShadowVox that is rooted in his love for God, family and music.
Joshua Harrison
Bass
Through Carbon Dating and forensic analysis, the remains of Peavey sub-woofers in Tennessee can be traced to Joshua son of Harris. The catastrophic effects of his mighty low tones have been well documented and feared among speakers and their makers. Had it not been for Rodney Britt and his inhuman vocal chords, Josh would be filling his time with foolish endeavors such as voice over work. When Josh isn’t singing and disturbing the communication of whales, he enjoys time with his beautiful wife and 3 children.
Luke Coles
Vocal Percussion
Lukimus Maximus was hatched in a cave somewhere in Oregon. Deemed an outcast to his dragon family due to his dashing good looks and remarkable beat-boxing skills, Luke set out to find his destiny. Feasting upon the sounds of a cappella music (and any poor sap who challenged his vocal percussion might) Luke has grown into a formidable beast in the a cappella realm. Together with his lovely wife, Serena and their 3 adorable “hatchlings”, Luke endeavors to be a husband, father and mouth-spitting-drum-sound-making man after God’s own heart.
